I ran as an independent voice for a College that has been too-long dominated by political forces that use the college for self-interested patronage contracting and hiring. The College Board of Trustees needs more independent voices to avoid a pattern
I was elected in April, 2019 for a six-year term as a Trustee for Prairie State College. I ran as an independent voice for a College that has been too-long dominated by political forces that use the college for self-interested patronage contracting and hiring. The College Board of Trustees needs more independent voices to avoid a pattern of arbitrary hirings and firings and insider contracting that is being driven by outsiders with political control.

I am a founding Board member of the Southland Human Services Council and Southland Juvenile Justice Council, and served ten years on the Board of the South-Southwest Suburban Office of the United Way of Metro Chicago.
